Zeke Smith and Nic Santos Relationship
Zeke Smith met the love of his life, Nico Santos, in April 2018 at the 29th GLAAD Media Awards. However, the two remained low-key until June of that year, when Zeke let the world know they were in a relationship via tweet: “Guess now everyone knows about my sexy little 25 year old boyfriend.” Oh haaayyy @nicosantos”
Fast-forward exactly four years since they met, Zeke got down on one knee and asked Nico to marry him in front of a cheering crowd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“He said. I’m the luckiest guy in the world. Thank you @glaad and @tiffanyandco for making it magical,” Zeke took to his IG on April 3, 2022 to reveal the big news.
Likewise, Nico took it to his IG to write: “I said yes. You have my heart forever @zekerchief.”

Before the surgery, Zeke Smith didn’t look any different than he does now. However, the reality star admits that he used to feel very lonely and didn’t have many friends.
Notably, when Jeff Varner came out publicly as transgender on Survivor, Zeke “had a major bout of depression, like a lot of people.” He admitted that he had nearly failed Harvard and was living in his house, destitute.
“I got 20 seasons of Survivor drunk and it pushed me away. I had to go on adventures and that helped me. Little by little I was putting my life back together,” Zeke explained how much the game helped put his life back together.
Additionally, Zeke thanked his fans for the great support he received during these difficult times.
Plus, Jeff Varner losing his job for inflicting pain on Zeke certainly could have made up for the reality star a bit, too. Also, Jeff later took to Zeke on social media to apologize publicly, likening his act to a “fit.”
When it was all said and done, Zeke revealed that he is not ashamed of being transgender. Instead, he just wanted to not be remembered as the first transgender contestant to appear on Survivor. “I just wanted to go on an adventure and play a great game. I just wanted to be known for my game,” he explained.

Zeke Smith never liked his birth name. So, being into martial arts as a child, he felt that he “deeply identified” with Tum Tum from series 3 Ninjas. So he insisted that everyone around him call him Tum Tum from then on.
And they did! Until she was old enough. “I was called Tum Tum for so long that people said, ‘We can’t call you Tum Tum anymore,'” she recalled.

Zeke Smith’s favorite things as a child were eating and doing martial arts. He even competed in the National Taekwondo Championships in Orlando, FL when he was about 10 years old.
To reminisce about his past, he recounted how Garth Brooks was the soundtrack to his childhood, and the Oklahoma City bombing happened when he was in first grade.
As a teenager, Zeke was a brilliant student who was one of the top 16 high school debaters in the country. But then the plague got him and it all went downhill from there.
